Base pay range $68,640.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Speech Language Pathologist Essential Responsibilities

Foster a friendly, safe, and inclusive therapy environment

Identify different communication styles to develop effective communication with staff, families, teachers, and community partners

Provide individualized, goal‑oriented therapy tailored to each child’s unique needs and family dynamics

Monitor and track upcoming reports due based on the funder

Serve as a liaison between the funder (school team, family, etc.) and the leadership team to pro‑actively identify areas of concern and maintain strong relationships with the community

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including daily notes in Raintree and progress reports

Collaborate with other service providers, including, when appropriate, other therapists and classroom teachers

Qualifications

Master of Arts or Science degree from an ASHA approved school of Speech Therapy (Required)

Meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech‑Language Pathology (Required)

Minimum of one (1) year’s clinical experience in Speech‑Language Pathology (Required)

CPR/First Aid certified (Preferred)

Additional Requirements

Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in active, play‑based therapy

Successful completion of background check, TB test, drug screening, and employment eligibility verification

Willingness to participate in disaster preparedness drills and emergency procedures

Momentum has a rich history in the South Bay community as a dedicated and forward‑thinking non‑for‑profit clinic for children with a variety of needs. Our multi‑disciplinary clinic is designed to provide our speech pathologists with the opportunity to experience collaboration on a whole new level. Our therapists have the opportunity to work in a variety of programs including early intervention programs, AAC development, Early Head Start, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), bilingual teams, social skills groups, summer programs and parent training. We also have opportunities for career growth including supervisory roles and program leads for those therapists looking to take on more. Our clinic has multiple treatment gyms, treatment spaces and a warehouse full of toys ready to use. Our speech department is full of excitement to bring on new clinicians to our team to further our mission of treating children of all abilities.

With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Southern California.
