Location Remote work with regional presence in Seattle (ideal), Portland, Denver and Boise.
Summary The regional manager will own all aspects of Ken’s Foods Brands business in the Northwest, collaborating with Acosta Sales & Marketing. Activities include sales management, supply chain, forecasting, data analytics, retail merchandising operations, trade finance, and multi-level relationship building.
Principal Accountabilities
Deliver annual operating plan commitment (dollars, cases).
Maximize trade spending within allocated budget.
Primary Responsibilities
Call on decision makers at all account levels.
Establish and maintain relationships with senior leaders.
Align customer plans to corporate objectives to achieve volume, profit, and share goals.
Oversee execution of brand strategies and category management initiatives.
Track industry trends, identify opportunities, monitor competitors.
Provide market/customer expertise to Ken’s HQ.
Primary Customer Responsibility Albertson’s (Seattle, Denver, Portland, Boise), Winco, UNFI Stockton, C&S Northern California, Food 4 Less, Associated Food Stores, Canada, Amazon Fresh
Organizational Development Manage performance and relationships of our sales agency, Acosta Sales, and Marketing. Partner with Acosta senior leadership to advance Ken’s objectives at a senior level within customers.
Financial Management
Maintain controls to measure and monitor sales spending.
Implement and enforce Ken’s policies and ensure customer compliance.
Establish alliances with customers to address deductions and control unauthorized chargebacks.
Manage promotional trade funding within approved boundaries.
Working Conditions Remote work with regional presence. Approximate travel up to 40%.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
5+ years of key account management experience in retail grocery channel.
Skills & Abilities
Willingness to travel extensively (3-4 days/week).
Strong sales skills: negotiation, storytelling, presentation.
Broker management experience.
Exceptional communication, problem solving, leadership.
Strong technical, business, financial acumen.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and syndicated data (Circana). Proficiency in Trade Plan Management System Blacksmith by Telus is a plus.
Salary $140,000 - $160,000 annually, based on experience, skills, and education.
