Department Overview The Information Protection team is focused on keeping customer data protected. This team is built of motivated, talented individuals passionate about the security space and eager to make an impact.

The Role The Regional Director will formulate and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth within the data security business unit. You will lead a team of 7 specialists and work across Public Sector (SLED), Commercial, and LATAM. You will partner with the existing AVP and take responsibility for the quota on products within the data security portfolio (Enterprise DLP, Endpoint DLP, CASB, Insider Threat, Isolation, DSPM).

Responsibilities

Play a hands‑on, customer‑facing role, including direct participation in closing deals at key accounts.

Mentor, develop, recruit, hire, and train the specialist team.

Define partner plans and collaborate with the channel to drive incremental revenue.

Manage pipeline, forecast opportunities, and maintain disciplined sales processes with Territory, Account, and Opportunity Plans & MEDDICC.

Stay updated on the company’s competitive positioning in the marketplace.

Partner with Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, and Support to close deals and drive adoption.

Build and maintain key customer relationships; develop and implement strategies for expanding the customer base.

Qualifications

Experience successfully leading high‑performing field‑sales teams across a large geography.

Prior experience selling in a matrix environment.

Proven track record in selling security, data protection, and/or SSE solutions.

Strong knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in the security industry.

Data‑driven leadership with the ability to create business plans, build pipelines, and forecast accurately.

Outstanding consultative selling skills with clear articulation of value proposition.

Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to conduct sales presentations and interact at all levels.

Experience building demand‑generation plans with marketing.

Strong technical acumen to discuss Data Security platform products and Proofpoint architecture.

Remote‑eligible; U.S. based; travel required.
