We are looking for a fully remote
Director of Search Marketing
who must be located in the MST or PST time zones to be considered.
About You You have a true talent for paid search, seamlessly blending strategy, creativity, and leadership. Your extensive knowledge of SEM standards ensures campaigns are flawless, and you lead by example, facilitating knowledge sharing and guiding your team to excel. You are committed to building a thriving team, fostering growth, and staying up‑to‑date with the latest SEM updates, championing performance and holding yourself accountable to client partners and KPIs.
Proficiency Expectations
You are a subject‑matter expert in paid search, understanding its role within the entire funnel and ensuring best practices are followed.
You lead paid search team members in daily account management, tactical creation, implementation, and performance tracking.
You are accountable to Client Partner(s) for delivering tactical plans that align with overall brand strategy and agreed KPIs.
You support client partners in managing relationships related to paid search strategy, team, and performance.
You ensure effective collaboration of paid search strategy and implementation for flawless execution of search campaign strategy and activation.
You are the point of escalation for team members, coaching on advanced strategy, optimizations, processes, and next steps to mitigate issues and drive search growth.
You oversee team resourcing, keep utilization tracking accurate, and gauge bandwidth for new clients.
You identify succession plans and cultivate talent development for upward mobility.
You work with reps to identify and vet new opportunities, drive channel‑specific innovation, thought leadership, best practices, and training.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of paid search experience and at least 3 years in a client‑facing marketing role.
Proven experience managing a team of 2+ direct reports and mentoring them into more senior roles.
Deep understanding of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads; Apple Search Ads is a bonus.
Ability to audit an account and present actionable insights to a client.
Experience speaking to growth strategy, SEO, CRO, analytics, and measurement with managers and C‑Level executives.
Experience acting as an escalation point for clients, evaluating service levels and proposing improvements.
What We Offer This is a 6‑month contract to cover an employee leave of absence. We offer $65–$85 per hour for the right resource.
