Principal SDET (Westlake, TX) Base Pay Range: $62.00/hr – $72.00/hr

Responsibilities

Architecting and implementing development pipelines (CI/CD)

Focus on deployment automation and orchestration

Assist with code branches, merges, build pipelines, manage versioning, etc.

Use knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper software engineering, bug prevention strategies, testability and security

Actively participate in the development process through writing and maintaining application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests

Collaborate with team members on improving team test coverage, release velocity and production health

Requirements

8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's or 6+ years of experience with a Master's degree in Computer Science (or closely related field)

Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting automation test platforms

Minimum 6 years of experience with architecting and implementing development pipelines (CI/CD)

Experience designing and implementing robust QA strategies and test frameworks for API, Web with deep expertise in end-to-end validation

Experience in test automation (Playwright/Cypress, Selenium, RestAssured, JUnit, TestNG, Maven, ETL Batch)

Experience with DevOps/Pipelines (Jenkins Core, LWC, Monorepo, etc.)

Experience with source control (GitHub, Stash (Bitbucket), Sourcetree)

Top skills: Front end, Playwright, Xray, chaos, Splunk, Datadog, Node.js, Java, JavaScript, Jenkins core

Good understanding of accessibility features and building/testing accessible experiences on web

Good understanding of writing SQL queries and data seeding for automation

Cloud experience preferred – Amazon Web Services (AWS)

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certificates, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
