This position is hybrid. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite in Oakbrook Terrace Tuesdays – Thursdays. Remote work is acceptable on Mondays and Fridays.

Core working hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Overview & Responsibilities We are seeking a mid-level Project Manager to oversee utility and civil construction projects throughout the South Suburbs region, including areas like Bolingbrook, Joliet, and University Park. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from planning and execution to monitoring and closing.

The position requires a blend of in‑office collaboration and remote work, with travel to various project sites. A key part of your responsibilities will be conducting one site visit for each of your assigned projects every month. Responsibilities

Managing project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful delivery.

Reading and accurately interpreting civil construction plans and technical documents.

Developing and managing project financials, including creating monthly cash flow forecasts.

Reviewing and evaluating contract proposals and bids from vendors and contractors.

Coordinating with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project alignment.

Providing regular project status updates to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

A minimum of three years of project management experience.

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related technical field, or Project Management.

Professional experience in the utility industry (electric, gas, or water), civil construction, or engineering related to utility installation/relocation projects.

Demonstrated experience with preparing a project's financial forecasts (e.g., monthly cash flows).

Experience reviewing contract proposals and bids.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Direct experience with utility relocation projects.

A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
