Real Estate Attorney (Contract) – LHH LHH is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join their law firm client’s Real Estate team. This contract role centers on sophisticated commercial leasing work.

What You'll Do

Lead the drafting, redlining, negotiation, and finalization of retail/office/industrial leases, amendments, and related documents for landlord and tenant matters

Manage title and survey review, prepare and track closing checklists, and coordinate due diligence from LOI through closing

Analyze and prepare easements, license agreements, SNDAs, estoppels, and related real property instruments

Advise internal stakeholders on risk, deal structure, and lease compliance, providing crisp written guidance and practical recommendations

Work autonomously to prioritize a dynamic part‑time workload (20–30 hours/week) with potential to scale based on portfolio needs

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline templates, improve process hygiene, and enhance deal throughput

Who You Are

4–5+ years focused exclusively on transactional real estate, with a strong emphasis on commercial leasing; litigation‑heavy backgrounds are not a match

Demonstrated fluency with easements, title/survey analysis, due diligence, and closing mechanics; homebuilder experience is a plus

Exceptional legal writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail and an ability to communicate business‑forward solutions

Independent, reliable, and organized practitioner who thrives in a remote, outcomes‑driven environment

Active bar license in and current residence within the same state, limited to firm office states: TX, OR, WA, MA, SC, NC, IL, PA, MO, CA, FL, TN, NY, NJ, DC, DE

No concurrent legal practice during the engagement

What We Offer

Contract term: Initial 6 months, with the option to extend

Schedule: Part‑time 20–30 hours/week, with potential to increase based on skill set and workload demand

Compensation: $70–$90/hour

Work arrangement: Fully Remote

Eligibility locations (must reside and be licensed in the same state): TX, OR, WA, MA, SC, NC, IL, PA, MO, CA, FL, TN, NY, NJ, DC, DE

Practice scope: Strict exclusivity; no concurrent legal work; transactional focus (litigation experience not utilized)
