The Role Zeta Global is seeking a highly skilled
Staff Software Engineer
to serve as a technical leader within our
MIP/AIP Platforms Team . This team is critical to Zeta's ad technology core, owning the systems responsible for
Programmatic AdTech (DSP) , omnichannel data integration, and client-facing self-service tools that unify activation, reporting, and measurement.
You will define the technical vision and architect scalable solutions for our core programmatic infrastructure while driving the integration of sentiment data, bid stream intelligence, and advanced AI services into a cohesive, enterprise-grade platform.
Key Team Ownership Areas
Omnichannel Explorer: Architecting and building the complete front‑end and back‑end integration of sentiment data, bid stream information, and other measurement tools.
Leading the project to enable direct data and audience porting into Supply‑Side Platforms (SSPs), including client self‑service and integrated reporting/measurement.
Survey Platforms: Responsibility for the top‑level packaging, presentation, and interaction of surveys, including tackling current challenges related to optimization and response rates.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Ownership: Define and own the technical direction for high‑volume, low‑latency programmatic AdTech (DSP) systems and omnichannel data integration.
Full‑Stack Development: Drive development initiatives across the full stack, utilizing Ruby, Python, Java, and React to deliver integrated platform solutions.
AI Integration: Design and implement the integration of sentiment data, bid stream intelligence, and AI services (including LLMs/GenAI frameworks) into MIP/AIP systems to enhance activation and measurement.
Technical Leadership: Lead complex, cross‑functional technical initiatives, ensuring platform alignment, stability, and scalability across the engineering organization.
Mentorship & Strategy: Serve as a trusted technical advisor, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices within the team.
Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years of engineering experience with a proven history of technical leadership.
AdTech Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience and deep understanding of Programmatic Advertising, including DSPs, bid stream processing, and data‑intensive AdTech environments.
Polyglot Proficiency: Expert proficiency in multiple languages, including Ruby, Python, and Java.
Front‑End Experience: Experience developing scalable front‑end applications, specifically utilizing React.
System Scale: Deep experience building and scaling distributed, high‑performance systems in production environments.
Data & AI: Experience integrating complex data sources (sentiment, bid stream) and foundational knowledge of AI/LLM concepts to solve platform challenges (e.g., survey optimization).
Architectural Influence: Demonstrated ability to drive architectural decisions across multiple teams and effectively align technical vision with strategic business goals.

Salary Range The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $220,000, depending on location and experience.
