What does a Front End Developer do? In this role, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining email templates, preference centers, Cloud pages, and various front end functions to help drive client digital marketing efforts. This role focuses on Marketing Cloud platforms and template excellence using HTML. You spend your days building, QAing and customizing templates in support of delivery clients with multi-channel strategies. Qualified candidates will be expected to have a working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript and a basic understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind.
A Day in the Life:
Transform app designs into front-end code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Work with back end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
Write high quality, scalable, and reusable code
Stay plugged in to emerging technologies and trends
A Successful Front End Developer Will:
Experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, and Vue
Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery and Bootstrap
Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as Sass, Less, or Stylus
Basic proficiency with Photoshop and web design
Experience with cross browser compatibility testing
Knowledge of Marketing Cloud Account Engagement regions and best practice coding practices
Familiarity with AMPscript and Cloud Pages in Marketing Cloud Engagement
