Key Responsibilities
Deal Origination & Strategy: Develop and execute financing strategies for a pipeline of solar and energy storage projects.
Financial Modeling: Oversee the creation, review, and management of sophisticated project finance models to analyze project economics, debt capacity, and investor returns.
Transaction Management: Lead the end-to-end financing process, including managing due diligence, preparing teasers and information memoranda, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Negotiation: Negotiate term sheets and definitive financing documentation (credit agreements, security documents, etc.) with banks, institutional investors, tax equity partners, and other financing sources.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, financing structures, and tax equity developments in the US renewable energy sector.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or Master’s degree is a strong plus.
5+ years of direct experience in project finance, investment banking, or structured finance, with a significant focus on the US renewable energy sector.
Prior involvement in financing energy storage (BESS) and/or solar power plant projects is a significant advantage.
Deep understanding of project finance concepts, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and energy market fundamentals.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with C-level executives and senior lenders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
