Overview A Commercial Project Engineer II is proficient at working in commercial environments to deliver impactful and effective system documentation. They are the technical expert to the Tech Ops team through the lifecycle of a project, ensuring a project is executed with excellence and meets all design requirements.
Responsibilities
Be the technical liaison for the Tech Ops team.
Interface and maintain ongoing dialogue for projects with clients, sales, CAD, and Tech Ops team members.
Ensure well executed system installation through detailed documentation packages, including but not limited to:
AutoCAD drawings
IP and network documentation
System commissioning documentation
Change order and RFI documentation and scopes of work
Identify all cabling and miscellaneous material needs.
Direct technical teams on installation challenges.
Assist and perform ongoing technical assessment, and support for tech ops during integration, installation, and commissioning.
Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products.
Write and commission digital signal processing programming.
Other duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications
CTS and/or CTS‑D preferred.
5+ years of experience in AV systems design.
Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of AV experience plus a four‑year degree or military experience may also be considered.
Thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniques.
Skilled in the use of computer‑aided drafting software.
MS Office – able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access proficiently without training.
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel may be required depending on business needs.
