Job Summary The Security Intelligence Center (SIC) Officer will use company-provided resources to find, research and assess information that could indicate a potential threat or concern to guests and employees of Caesars Entertainment in the Las Vegas region. The SIC Officer will create detailed reports of tactical, administrative and strategic intelligence gathered. In this role, the SIC Officer will assess and analyze information obtained to mitigate threats and manage crises to Caesars Entertainment in the Las Vegas region. The SIC Officer will identify, evaluate and monitor risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. Additionally, the SIC Officer will be responsible for maintaining and utilizing mass notification systems and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain innovative strategies that drive sustainable effectiveness.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent is required
Ability to manage several tasks at once
A thorough knowledge of accepted Caesars Entertainment Security procedures
Must possess good oral and written communication skills along with a good working knowledge of basic computer programs
Must be able to obtain and possess a Nevada Gaming Card, an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and have a current and valid Nevada Driver’s License.
Must possess investigative and analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
Understanding of data analysis as it applies to security and other business needs
Maintain high organizational oversight to ensure task completion
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Job Responsibilities / Duties
Systemically monitor online open sources and media channels for potential and known threats
Maintain comprehensive records of security-related incidents, analyze information, and establish actionable deliverables
Receive, evaluate and disseminate incoming information and reports from Security personnel, security officers in the field, employees, and local agencies
Strategically analyze and support tactical open source monitoring efforts during special events, security incidents, disasters and other crises that could cause a disruption to business for the Las Vegas region
Review, analyze and elevate open source intelligence, and subscription-based intelligence to help mitigate and report global threats to company property, employees, and stakeholders
Display original thinking and creativity, meet challenges with resourcefulness, generate suggestions for improving work, and develop innovative approaches to complex problems
Utilize and display above average critical thinking skills, in times of high stress with sometimes undefined processes and procedures
Generate easy-to-interpret reports based on collected and analyzed data
Serve as primary center point for disseminating information regarding security-related incidents for the Las Vegas region
Assist investigations with detailed intelligence collection regarding persons of interest
Perform event vulnerability assessments to reduce risk
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Maintain and utilize mass notification system for communicating security-related matters
Operate and monitor computer workstations and emergency systems; administering and maintaining process control systems and databases used within the Intelligence Center
Monitor Caesars Entertainment employees abroad, sending travel advisories and incident notifications during security incidents and crisis events
Be able to perform normal primary security officer functions
Personal Characteristics / Attributes
Understanding of data analysis as it applies to security and other business needs
Technical understanding of data models, data mining and segmentation techniques
Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products and other computer data collect software
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of Open Source intelligence (OSINT) gathering
Maintain high organizational oversight to ensure task completion
Maintain compliance standards per policy
Perform in a high-paced environment with little supervision
Professional, friendly, and positive communication style
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat more than 115 degrees, or cold as low as 10 degrees.
Must be able to physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists.
Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations and be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Must be able to push or pull up to 150 pounds.
Must be able to see and, also, remember the specific details of incidents and persons. Must be able to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports. The Security Officer Dispatch must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
Must pass the physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within the first ninety days of employment.
Must re-certify, between years 2 and 3, through the Western Division Security Academy, and must pass all physical, mental and environmental demands as required.
