Position Overview The Institute for Economic Development (IED) is a research center within the Department of Economics focused on development economics, international economics, and political economy. The IED Coordinator works closely with the IED manager, faculty director, and department staff to support the center’s activities. This role includes managing events, processing reimbursements, handling internal grant applications, providing administrative support for faculty, and serving as the department’s primary marketing and communications administrator.
Responsibilities
Support a variety of events and opportunities related to the IED center.
Process reimbursements and manage internal grant applications.
Provide administrative support for faculty members.
Create, maintain, and update departmental media such as websites, social media accounts, and newsletters.
Engage with staff coordinators, graduate students, faculty, visitors, distinguished guests, alumni, and potential donors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
One to three years of experience in a similar administrative or coordination role.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
