Essential Duties/Accountabilities
Represent Baker Distributing as a leader in the industry, ensuring maximum sales and profitability.
Secure maximum market share and sales dollars consistent with established sales policies and programs.
Develop market strategies and solicit new accounts and dealers.
Accountable for setting targets for direct reports and articulating a clear vision on the challenges and opportunities facing the Region.
Take a proactive approach to sales development and problem solving.
Support, manage and lead multiple Sales Centers and operation leaders.
Manage, motivate, measure and increase productivity and efficiencies of the Sales Center Managers.
Provide instruction, training and guidance to the operations of Sales Centers; including Warehouse, Receiving/Shipping, Delivery, Fleet Drivers, Showroom, Warranty, Counter Sales and Inside Sales personnel.
Serve as a host at dealer meetings, conferences, conventions, incentive trips and all other similar functions.
Conduct open houses or counter days, and support Marketing Manager on any sales marketing programs.
Participate as requested in home product shows, utility sponsored events, industry associations, etc.; attend training classes to acquire the skills to meet our customers’ needs and expectations and to stay abreast of technical developments and changes in product lines.
Assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users.
Manage expenditure of inventory investments with proper planning, justification, measurement of inventory and target customer; negotiate 100% rebalance agreements with vendors.
Responsible for market pricing, market intelligence and development of pricing profiles for the region by location, by customer, and working with the Pricing group for analytics and pricing models to maximize profitability.
Responsible for the region’s P&L.
Responsible for the collaboration and delegation of duties of the Regional Operations Manager and Sales Center Manager to maximize profitability through all processes at a sales center.
Responsible for overall business development, planning, measurement and profitable growth through communication and collaboration of all personnel within the region.
Responsible to work directly with HR for each individual recruit through Sales Center Manager and Operations Manager to ensure they fulfill the complete criteria of the job role as well as the accountability of each individual.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree (an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute).
Minimum of 5 years of operational experience; desirable: experience managing wholesale HVAC‑equipment supply houses.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working with residential and commercial contractor relationships.
Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, operations, and leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in developing business plans that grow markets, increase market share, and improve profitability.
Demonstrated success in managing and mentoring sales employees while establishing and meeting sales goals.
Skills Able to communicate clearly with internal and external groups at all organizational levels.
Able to read and interpret profit‑and‑loss statements.
Comfortable working in a rapid‑change setting and able to juggle multiple tasks at different levels.
Able to deliver clear, high‑quality presentations.
Can work autonomously while meeting assigned goals and deadlines.
Demonstrates a desire to learn, teach, and lead others.
Strong estimating skills combined with effective negotiation techniques.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to develop long‑term relationships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data.

Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Required to position self to access equipment by standing, sitting, or walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Operates computer and telephone equipment for extended periods of time.
Visual acuity is required to perform essential job functions such as reading labels, inspecting equipment, monitoring inventory, and operating machinery. Tasks may involve close vision, distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and visual focus.
Required to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
Travel Frequent travel to all locations within your assigned geographic region is required.
Supervision This role provides direct supervision to Sales Center Managers, Territory Managers and indirect supervision to field personnel within the assigned region.
