Senior Designer, CAD Engineering – Aerospace & Defense (ADEF)
ADI’s Aerospace and Defense (ADEF) business focuses on Data‑Converters, Radio Frequency (RF), and Micro‑Electro‑Mechanical Systems (MEMS). The engineering community leads forward‑thinking designs to meet tomorrow’s needs, today, at scale. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Design detailed microwave electronic assemblies including PCB, metal housings, and cable interconnects. Proficient with SolidWorks and PDM. Design complex mechanical housings from block diagrams. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to create 3D CAD, mechanical procurement drawings, and assembly drawings of complex microwave assemblies. Work with multilevel BOM and SolidWorks configurations. Update designs to reflect input from suppliers. Use AutoCAD Inventor for legacy projects and interact with production engineering. Participate in establishing and standardizing design rules and processes for the group. Conduct peer and design reviews as projects progress. Use a ticket system for assigning jobs and reporting job status to the engineering community.
Qualifications
Required
5+ years of experience preferred. Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent desired. Ability to develop and document design and administrative processes. Strong organizational skills, technical curiosity, and desire to work in a fast‑paced team environment. Knowledge of JIRA agile management system is a plus. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required. Full‑time job type. Preferred
10+ years of experience preferred. Strong knowledge of problem solving and supplier issue resolution.
