Litigation Financial Analyst / Investigator Supporting the USAO
FSA Federal is seeking a Litigation Financial Analyst to support the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO). The analyst will support the overall mission of the USAO by analyzing financial records, developing legal theories for forfeiture, and preparing exhibits for court proceedings.
Responsibilities
Trace, review, and analyze financial records from investigations to determine the source, delivery, and nature of funds, and identify assets and proceeds that meet thresholds and legal requirements for forfeiture.
Assist prosecutors in preparing for court proceedings by developing legal theories, and preparing exhibits, charts, and abstracts of financial evidence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
Three years of accounting, finance, or related experience.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); advanced skills are preferred.
Proven commitment to provide excellent customer service; positive and flexible; ability to multi-task.
Ability to work in a team environment, deliver high quality work, and maintain a professional disposition under extreme pressure.
Investigative and litigation experience is preferred.
U.S. citizenship and a 7- or 10-year minimum background investigation required.
