Head of Public Affairs – Ralph Lauren Ralph Lauren Corporation (NYSE:RL) is a global leader in the design, marketing and distribution of premium lifestyle products across apparel, accessories, home, fragrances and hospitality. The Head of Public Affairs will work closely with leadership and the business to keep the company at the forefront of legislative changes and industry developments.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute advocacy strategies that protect the brand’s interests and unlock new opportunities in an evolving regulatory environment.

Present policy positions to government officials, trade associations, coalitions and other stakeholders, aligning corporate priorities with legislative and market trends.

Monitor the legislative and regulatory landscape, assess potential business impacts and develop forward‑thinking strategies that position Ralph Lauren for success.

Develop compelling policy documents, including executive summaries, position papers and briefs articulate Ralph Lauren’s policy positions.

Maintain relationships with key government officials at international, federal, state and local levels to advance Ralph Lauren’s priorities across key markets.

Arrange high‑impact meetings for senior leadership and prepare briefing materials, talking points and supporting items.

Anticipate and evaluate emerging company risks stemming from geopolitical shifts and regulatory changes, advising on mitigation strategies.

Lead the public affairs function with vision and purpose, ensuring high team performance and developing key competencies.

Qualifications

Deep understanding of public policy and ability to distill complex regulatory issues into actionable insights.

15+ years of public affairs experience, preferably in agency, brand or political environments; experience in fashion, retail, global supply chains, trade, sustainability and/or geopolitical issues is preferred.

Highly adaptable and entrepreneurial, with the ability to anticipate and respond to shifting political and regulatory landscapes.

Exceptional writing, presentation and interpersonal skills to articulate policy positions and influence diverse audiences.

Proven ability to navigate complex policy challenges, persuade stakeholders and drive favorable outcomes.

A strategic and thoughtful approach to advocacy, developing creative solutions that advance objectives while staying true to brand values.

Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing projects from strategy development through execution.

Highly motivated, able to work independently while fostering cross‑functional collaboration to achieve common goals.

Experience presenting to senior leadership and corporate boards.

Salary range:

$119,000 – $242,605 annually.
