We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Wireless Connectivity) to join the Operating Systems team at Snap Inc.

What you’ll do

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions for devices.

Develop modem software and verify modem feature functionalities and performance to improve user experience including call, voice quality, data, thermal/power, connectivity.

Identify modem software performance gaps by analyzing system requirements, design, software implementation, issue analysis, and simulation of real‑world scenarios.

Debug, analyze, and fix modem issues from factory, certification field, and end users.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong software‑engineering skills including design, programming (C or C++), debugging, and testing.

Experience with Cellular SW (Radio Interface Layer) or WLAN or Bluetooth preferred.

Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/UDP/IP.

Experience in SW development to support cellular carrier certification is a plus.

Good understanding of OS concepts (heap/stack/threads/mutex/memory/scheduling) is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.

+6 years of experience with software development in one or more languages and data structures/algorithms.

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of Cellular, WLAN, BT protocols.

Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The starting pay is determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $209,000-$313,000 annually.

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $199,000-$297,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $178,000-$266,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
