Our client is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to support fire protection construction operations across the Pacific Northwest and Colorado regions. This role plays a critical part in making safety the #1 priority across all job sites by supporting project teams, field leadership, and corporate safety initiatives. The Regional Safety Manager will spend approximately 65% of their time in the field and 35% in administrative/office support (potentially working from home), partnering closely with superintendents, foremen, project managers, and corporate leadership to drive proactive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across multiple active job sites. This position requires a hands‑on safety leader who thrives in field environments, communicates effectively at all levels, and brings practical construction safety experience, preferably within fire protection, sprinkler, alarm, or mechanical trades. Qualifications
Required Experience
1-3 years of construction safety experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience) Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations Ability to recognize hazards and drive corrective action Experience supporting active construction job sites Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Preferred Experience & Certifications
Fire protection, sprinkler, alarm, or pipefitting background (preferred, not required) OSHA 500 - Train the Trainer (preferred) OSHA 510 - Construction Standards (preferred) CHST (preferred) Current CPR / First Aid Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, WISHA, CISHA, and FED-OSHA Key Responsibilities
Partner with district and project leadership to identify, control, and mitigate hazardous work conditions. Maintain strong on-site presence through regular field visits, job walks, and safety observations. Conduct and coordinate safety training, including (but not limited to):
PPE Fall Protection Scissor Lift & Forklift Safety Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Trenching & Excavations Confined Space Stairways & Ladders OSHA 30
Conduct and document a minimum of four (4) weekly jobsite inspections, ensuring corrective actions are completed. Assist Superintendents and Foremen in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs). Lead and support incident response, reporting, and investigations, including:
Injuries & illnesses Near misses Property damage Vehicle accidents Utility strikes
Develop, implement, and maintain site- and client-specific safety programs. Coordinate driver safety initiatives alongside the Safety Administrator. Ensure compliance with:
FED-OSHA WISHA (Washington) CISHA (Colorado) NFPA 70E ANSI, ASTM, NESC standards
Support preconstruction safety compliance platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta). Participate in OSHA inspections and accompany compliance officers when required. Support new hire safety orientations. Maintain accurate records for training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Travel regionally as required using a valid, current driver's license.
