Responsibilities As Program Director, you will lead the development and delivery of innovative non-credit educational programs that reflect the needs of adult learners, working professionals, and industry partners. You will oversee the design of both in-person and online course offerings, ensuring they are accessible, market‑responsive, and aligned with the University’s strategic goals.
You will play a central role in identifying new program opportunities, collaborating with faculty and academic units to bring them to life, and cultivating partnerships across industries, employers, and community organizations. The position also engages with accrediting universities and credentialing bodies to review and approve training programs for Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Key Responsibilities Include
Leading the planning, design, and implementation of non-credit certificates, micro‑credentials, and customized workforce programs.
Conducting market analysis to identify emerging trends and needs across sectors.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain program quality, accessibility, and impact.
Managing budgets and identifying funding opportunities to support strategic growth.
Representing FSU Learn at events, professional conferences, and in public forums to increase visibility and engagement.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and six years' experience related to administrative services or a high school diploma or equivalent and ten years' experience in the same area. (Note: or a combination of post‑high school education and experience equal to ten years.)
Helpful The ideal candidate will have strong experience in adult or continuing education, a passion for lifelong learning, and a strategic mindset for program development and innovation.
