Senior Process Engineer – Superior

About this opportunity As a Senior Process Engineer, you will spearhead front‑end engineering phases of capital projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic objectives and maintaining a competitive capital portfolio. Relocation assistance is provided.
What you’ll do
Lead the development and front‑end engineering phases of capital projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (EHS, Reliability, Asset Management) to validate project assumptions, scope, EHS compliance, risk, and economic feasibility.
Identify and support capital opportunities by working with asset teams and technical resources to integrate into long‑range planning.
Prepare project justifications, economic models, and risk assessments to support decision‑making and approvals.
Oversee process design reviews, including PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing; ensure compliance with engineering standards and process safety requirements.
Conduct quality control checks on detailed design work, including relief calculations, flare loading, and alarm management.
Drive margin improvement initiatives by partnering with SMEs and commercial teams to define cost‑effective technical solutions.
Support the Management of Change (MOC) processes and ensure design basis documents meet reliability and asset availability targets.
Who you are
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
8+ years of experience in refining process and project engineering.
Strong technical computing literacy for modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
Willing to travel approximately 10‑15% of the time outside of the base location.
