Marin Montessori School is seeking a reliable and professional Substitute Front Desk Team Member to provide on-call coverage at our front desk as needed. The office is open from 7:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position does not guarantee a set number of hours and may require short notice, although occasional long-term assignments may be available.

Key Responsibilities
Greet and sign in students during early morning ASC drop-off
Manage the school phone, reception desk, school voicemail, student absence line, and all parent communications regarding attendance, health, and pick-up and drop‑off.
Welcome and check in prospective parents, adult visitors, and children visiting the Office.
Supervise children temporarily in the Office while they wait for a parent or caregiver.
Assist with student pick‑up outside of regular dismissal times by escorting students from the classroom to the Office, ensuring proper sign‑out by a parent or caregiver, and safely releasing the student from campus.
Support the administrative team with other tasks as needed, depending on skills and experience.
Required Qualifications & Attributes
Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor
Strong communication and organizational skills
Collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules
Prior office, administrative, or school experience is a plus
Must successfully pass a background check.
Hourly, non‑exempt position: $24–$28/hr
Paid sick leave in accordance with California law
