Associate Litigation Attorney – Chicago
Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr – $120,000.00/yr

We have over 100 attorneys across 14 offices in 12 states, serving Fortune 500 companies in industries such as energy, construction, manufacturing, technology, transportation, insurance, and liability-related sectors. In addition to mass toxic torts, the firm also handles commercial disputes and liability defense.
We are looking for an experienced (2‑5 years) civil litigator to join the Chicago office’s General Liability and Toxic Tort Practice Group. Successful candidates will have exceptional research, writing, and litigation skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Proactive case management from start to finish in state and federal courts.
Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and research materials.
Maintain frequent client communications and reporting.
Conduct comprehensive legal analysis, case evaluations, and strategy recommendations.
Coordinate and collaborate with expert witnesses.
Attend depositions, court hearings, and mediations.
Prepare for and attend trials.
Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in Illinois (other states a plus).
2–5 years’ litigation and toxic tort experience in state and federal courts.
Demonstrated ability to proactively manage caseloads from start to finish.
Strong work ethic and ability to self‑manage and work in a team environment.
Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Desire to deliver exceptional client service and contribute to client development.
