Job Summary The Senior Product Manager Pricing Analytics is a key leader in the development of Sysco’s Enterprise Analytics Team (EAT) capabilities. This prospective candidate will be at the forefront of Sysco’s customer-first evolution, which is enabled by advanced analytics and a digital transformation. They will be responsible for strategic thinking, product development, and deployment of several pricing and revenue management analytics use cases for Sysco’s core enterprise pricing analytics engine.
This role will require close collaboration with business and technology leadership, data scientists, revenue management, sales, and merchandising functional teams, operating companies, specialty companies or geographies, and technology teams.
Responsibilities
Work across revenue management and data science to identify and evaluate enhancement opportunities as well as build, maintain, and prioritize product roadmaps
Coordinate and facilitate requirements gathering and decision making across a cross-functional team of revenue management SMEs, and technical resources to build and deploy high-value enhancements
Define the approach and guide the design of analytic models for several use cases associated with the enterprise pricing analytics engine
Perform data analysis and data visualization development to translate the model outputs into insights, stories, and presentations that enable business and leadership stakeholders to understand and trust model development
Work with Business, Data Science, and Business Technology teams to ensure that all models are effectively scaled
Develop and build metrics and tracking to ensure value is captured from analytical models being developed and deployed
Qualifications Education
Bachelors in an analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Business)
MBA or another advanced degree from a top tier educational institution (preferred)
Experience
5+ years in a corporate setting or leading professional services company in an analytical or strategic role such as Strategy, Finance or Insights
Professional Skills
Familiarity with digital technologies including an understanding of underlying data architectures, data requirements and limitations, interdependencies between interface front-end, service layer, and back-end
Understanding of key differences between a range of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics approaches and tradeoffs between each
Understanding of business value drivers, corresponding business impact, and the relationship between modeling choices and business considerations
Ability to problem solve in a structured and logical framework that encompasses problem statement definition, data analysis, and insights and recommendations
Ability to work in a collaborative work environment that enables a cross-functional team with various backgrounds and capabilities to execute at a high-level
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; comfort interfacing with both technical and management teams
