Job Overview
The Business Development Director is a highly motivated self‑starter who will lead and provide strategic sales initiatives, engage in market‑sales activity, and work closely with Market Leaders, operational executives, and the Marketing Department on lead generation, sales activities, and proposal generation.
Salary Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 base plus commission. The successful candidate will be compensated in accordance with this range, commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a sales strategy for high‑rise communities to obtain residential association management contracts that align with FirstService Residential client strategy.
Assist in the growth of existing and potentially new market territories by providing trend analysis, product and service line insights, and support for planning and business development meetings.
Manage and directly participate in the sales process – deliver presentations to prospective clients, seek out innovative ways to communicate value, and monitor competition and industry trends.
Manage the sales process through utilization of CRM (Dynamics) – entering and updating leads, generating follow‑up schedules, and lead/opportunity communications.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales operations teams and participate in the preparation of proposal (RFP) responses.
Proficient and effective at giving client presentations and closing deals.
Qualifications
Superior planning, communication, and business development skills.
Experience managing high‑rise sales operations and lead generation.
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics).
Ability to collaborate with internal senior associates, executives, and marketing teams.
Proven track record of closing deals and achieving sales targets.
