Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
Provide primary‑care services in accordance with Eventus WholeHealth site‑specific protocols and consistent with the standard of care for family medicine, geriatric medicine, and/or internal medicine as it pertains to long‑term‑care facility work.
Review and sign MARs as requested by facilities; sign all orders specific for a supervising Physician while at the facility and/or within 24 hours if faxed or emailed, including phone orders. Review and address labs within 24 hours. Manage scheduled medication prescriptions per facility and Eventus WholeHealth’s medication policy.
Provide facility with adequate time each visit to allow for paperwork and admin duties.
Work with facility to manage systems. Attend care plan meetings and QA/PI meetings as requested.
On‑call: Providers are expected to be available between 8 AM and 5 PM by text or phone on scheduled days of work. Triage policies and on‑call duties will be modified as needed and all providers must adhere to updated schedules.
Submit copies of documentation and billing records to Eventus WholeHealth according to billing schedules.
Maintain open and positive communication with facility staff and administration. Provide written or verbal instruction or feedback regarding medications and other pertinent caregiver information. Meet with the Administrator or designated care coordinator before starting patient visits each day and before leaving the facility each day.
Adhere to Eventus WholeHealth standards, policies, procedures, legal and regulatory guidelines, and professional ethical standards. Comply with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times including appropriate use of cell phone, e‑mail, text messaging, patient charts, and EMR. Abide by HIPAA rules and CPT coding guidelines.
Qualifications / Education
Licensed MD or DO
3 years in long‑term care/geriatrics preferred
AMDA certified a plus but not mandatory
Strong leadership qualities
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
