Job Description The Cloud Solution Architect is a position that will help lead the technology strategy for BOK Financial. They will ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and goals, identify, and mitigate technology risks and issues, provide thought leadership on emerging technology trends, and collaborate with executive leadership to develop technology investment plans.

BOK Financial is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect to accelerate cloud adoption across our enterprise. This strategic role will partner with application teams to evaluate existing workloads and design robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions that align with our enterprise architecture and platform capabilities.

The candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of BOKF’s cloud ecosystem—owning end-to-end solution design, collaborating across Lines of Business, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and OnPrem Platform teams, and contributing to the evolution of our Cloud Landing Zone.

How You’ll Spend Your Time

You will lead the design of cloud-native and hybrid architectures for application migration, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and platform capabilities.

You will work closely with application owners to assess workloads, define migration strategies, and guide implementation.

You will partner with Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to ensure comprehensive and compliant solutions.

You will support the Cloud Director in platform design discussions, POCs, and technology evaluations to enhance our AWS and Azure environments.

You will leverage tools such as Policy-as-Code, Infrastructure Templates, and Workflow Automation to ensure repeatable and governed deployments.

You will integrate observability tools and dashboards to ensure visibility into cloud operations and application performance.

You will create solution documentation and contribute to self‑service catalogs to empower teams with reusable patterns and templates.

Education & Experience Requirements This level of knowledge is normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in a technology field and/or 10+ years of related IT experience.

Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, or equivalent required.

SKILLS Expert knowledge and experience with large‑scale systems integration and deployments.

Cloud Architecture & Migration Strategy

Deep understanding of cloud‑native and hybrid architectures.

Ability to assess legacy applications and design migration paths (rehost, refactor, rearchitect).

Experience with multi‑cloud environments (AWS primary, Azure secondary).

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Proficiency in Terraform IAC.

Experience creating reusable infrastructure modules and templates.

Familiarity with remote state management and automated pre/post checks.

CI/CD & Workflow Automation

Expertise in building repeatable pipelines using tools like Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps, or Github Actions.

Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and advanced workflow orchestration.

Security & Governance

Experience with Policy-as-Code frameworks (e.g., Open Policy Agent, Sentinel).

Integration of Secrets Management tools like AWS Secrets Manager with OIDC authentication.

Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

Monitoring & Observability

Familiarity with tools for unified observability, dependency mapping, and service topology.

Ability to design and implement dashboards and visualization tools for cloud operations.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Strong communication skills to work across Lines of Business, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams.

Ability to lead technical discussions, present solution designs, and influence decision‑making.
