About the Job
The City Manager oversees the operational execution of Base’s event programming within the city, focusing on high-volume, high-impact experiences. This role manages all event logistics, guest experience details, venue coordination, and on-site execution. You will work directly with Members, partner venues, and internal teams to ensure every event is delivered with precision and professionalism. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that is central to the success of Base’s local market operations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the execution of Base Dinners, Lunches, and other curated events, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality delivery. Manage guest lists, seating arrangements, dietary accommodations, and other experience details. Coordinate logistics with partner venues and ensure all materials and timelines are executed accurately. Attend most events to oversee setup, manage live logistics, and troubleshoot any issues. Support Member Success by responding to Member questions, concerns, and escalations. Communicate directly with Members when needed, offering clear and solutions‑oriented guidance. Review and manage the event calendar, often coordinating multiple same‑day events. Prepare event materials including menus, signage, and place settings. Manage last‑minute updates such as dietary changes or seating requests. Confirm pre‑event setup and alignment with venue teams. Collect post‑event feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare for upcoming events. Meet with venue partners to review performance and plan future events. Integrate Member feedback into operational improvements. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage numerous concurrent events. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt quickly to last‑minute changes and unexpected challenges. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills. Hands‑on approach and willingness to engage directly in event execution. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in event operations, hospitality, or similar high‑volume environments. Proven ability to manage complex logistical workflows. Experience working in dynamic, fast‑paced environments. Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
