You will function as a full team member of the interdisciplinary team serving Veterans, our nation's heroes. Other responsibilities include providing history and physical exams, diagnosis, and initiation of medical treatment; initiating and facilitating treatment and transfer in emergency situations; referring patients as needed to appropriate specialists, health care facilities, and coordination of home health services; documenting assessments and plan of care for each patient in accordance with policies and procedures; communicating and collaborating effectively with other providers and disciplines to ensure continuity of patient care; collaborate and act as a patient advocate; maintaining knowledge of new and current clinical methods; serving in the back-up call rotation for Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) at the Tomah campus; and abiding by all Medical Center policies and procedures.
