Within the Business Cards & Payments organization, our Field Sales teams work with Small and Mid‑Sized Business owners to build long‑term, meaningful relationships to understand their business and B2B wallet. The Customer Growth Team uses a consultative approach to help mid‑sized business owners with the right products to optimize their rewards and benefits.
We are committed to helping customers leverage our tools to lower the stress of financial management and increase profitability. We aspire to become a trusted advisor, informed teacher, and concierge to guide customers through the complexities of owning, managing, and growing a small business.
As a Local Market Leader (LML), you will report to the Regional Vice President of Customer Growth in Business Cards & Payments and will build and lead a high‑performing team of relationship managers who achieve revenue and financial objectives for the market.

Responsibilities
Deliver growth and profitability by meeting or exceeding targets in purchase volume, existing customer growth, account penetration, profit, cost, and productivity across the region while providing an outstanding customer and associate experience.
Provide sales leadership, direction, and program management within the team.
Build a dynamic sales culture that complements the broader field strategy and assists the team in achieving account growth and purchase volume goals.
Participate in strategic and tactical planning with the Customer Growth Sales team to drive market share, revenue, cross‑sell, productivity, targeted market penetration, customer retention, and profit goals.
Ensure all customer interactions comply with Capital One legal, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
Champion effective partnerships with headquarters support teams and local retail, small‑business, and commercial bank relationships.
Select, orient, train, coach, develop, motivate, and conduct joint work with a team of relationship managers.
Partner with other Local Market Leaders to ensure consistent execution of sales strategies.
Champion voice of client and associate feedback to support a culture of continuous improvement.
Passion for coaching and developing front‑line sales professionals and yourself.
Basic Qualifications
At least 5 years of business‑to‑business sales experience.
At least 3 years of sales management or peer coaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
6+ years of customer growth or business development sales experience.
5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role.
5+ years of portfolio management experience.
3+ years partnering with small businesses.
3+ years of financial industry experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in Salesforce.com.
Payroll and Incentives Sales Territory: $145,000 - $180,000 for Sr Manager, Local Market (Plano, TX). Additional salary info available per location. This role is eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
