Role Overview As a CoStar Regional Director (RD), you will drive the growth of our regional business by leading a high‑performance sales team, expanding new customer revenue, and maximizing renewal rates across the region. Your responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and motivating sales professionals; managing key client relationships; and ensuring top‑tier customer service.

Responsibilities

Grow regional and team revenues, meeting and exceeding annual sales growth targets.

Attract, hire, develop, motivate, and retain high‑impact salespeople who meet or exceed quota.

Spend 3–4 days per week in the field alongside salespeople, providing coaching and training to boost effectiveness.

Identify, prioritize, and secure new client relationships while retaining and expanding current accounts.

Monitor sales performance, hold team members accountable, and ensure accurate use of the Enterprise CRM system.

Set individual and team performance targets aligned with overall business goals; address performance issues promptly.

Develop and mentor all team members; embed CoStar culture and values.

Basic Qualifications External Candidates

5+ years of experience managing 6+ sales professionals, including hiring, training, and development.

Responsible for a recurring revenue book of business exceeding $10 million annually.

Internal Candidates

5+ years of overall sales experience, with at least 24 months in a quota‑carrying role at CoStar Group.

Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, on‑campus institution.

Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Experience leading sales in a fast‑paced, consultative model; delivering expected results.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Client‑facing experience in the commercial real estate industry.

Proven ability to build long‑term relationships and partnerships at all levels.

Track record of rapidly growing a territory through new client acquisition and existing account expansion.

Strong internal relationship‑building skills and external client engagement.

Successful retention of proven sales producers and removal of non‑producers.

Pay Transparency Base salary range: $110,000 – $140,000, based on relevant skills and experience. Commission plans are uncapped, citing exceptional incentives such as the President’s Club retreat for top performers.
