TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS INC
Machine Learning and Prompt Engineering Specialist
TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS INC, Saint Louis, Missouri, United States, 63146
Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Machine Learning and Prompt Engineering Specialist.
Do you have experience in machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and prompt engineering for generative AI systems?
Let us help you make your next big career move a reality!
What You Will Be Doing: You will design, train, and optimize AI and LLM-based systems to enhance reasoning, communication, and performance across multiple applications. This role blends expertise in machine learning, NLP, and prompt engineering, shaping the cognitive and conversational behavior of intelligent systems. You will work collaboratively across teams to build, evaluate, and deploy scalable, safe, and ethical AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Scenario and Persona Development:
Accept requirements to define and build scenarios, and apply the appropriate persona and voice to models.
Multi-Mode Design:
Design and develop multiple personas for a scenario to transition between training and coaching within each simulation.
Model Optimization:
Develop and fine-tune Machine Learning (ML) models for generative tasks.
Prompt Design and Testing:
Design and test prompts to maximize model performance across diverse use cases, analyzing model outputs and iterating on prompt strategies.
MLOps and Integration:
Monitor, train, and improve model safety, fairness, and reliability across a scaled solution, and integrate models into applicable applications.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (executives, product, design, and engineering) to integrate AI into products and manage configuration control.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience: 5+ years in ML or NLP roles.
Generative AI Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with LLMs or generative AI.
ML Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
Model Lifecycle: Strong grasp of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning, along with experience in model training, evaluation, and optimization.
Prompt Engineering Core: Deep understanding of LLM behavior, tokenization, and context windows.
Prompt Strategy: Experience crafting effective prompts for tasks like summarization, classification, reasoning, and creative generation.
Ethical AI: Knowledge of safety, bias mitigation, and ethical considerations in prompt design.
Communication: Strong communication and documentation skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience with commercial LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Cohere.
Published work or open-source contributions in ML or prompt design.
Familiarity with prompt tuning, few-shot learning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
Experience with MLOps tools and workflows (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model interpretability.
Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and user feedback loops.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment pipelines.
Ability to evaluate prompt performance and iterate based on output quality.
Pay: $91.00 – $130.00 /hr.
We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to provide sponsorship at this time or accept candidates who would require a corp-to-corp agreement.
