Direct Support Professional (DSP) Manhattan Beach
Braverhood is looking to hire a part‑time Russian‑speaking DSP (Direct Support Professional) to provide support and companionship to a young man with disabilities in the Manhattan Beach area of Brooklyn, both in the home and within the community.
Required bilingual Russian and English.
Pay: $18 - $20 per hour
Hours:
Afternoons on weekdays
Location:
Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn
RESPONSIBILITIES
Foster a positive environment for individuals to achieve personal goals (e.g., social interactions and activities of daily living).
Work closely with Case Supervisors on monthly goals and plans of action.
Document services rendered and client progress daily and monthly.
Provide support for individuals with various developmental disabilities in the home and within the community.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings once a year.
Submit all paperwork and monthly summaries on time.
Adhere to all agency and OPWDD regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Accountability and commitment required.
Experience within the special needs community, preferably with children or young adults, including community outings and support in social skills.
Reliable transportation is required.
Completion of an online DSP training course upon hire.
Ability to show up to work on time.
Dress code: casual, appropriately and respectfully.
