About the Role This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team focused on managing some of DoorDash’s largest technology investments, where you can have a meaningful impact. In this role, you’ll lead Global R&D workforce management for DoorDash and its acquired companies, partnering closely with Engineering and Product leadership to optimize investment decisions across their organizations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and technical skills to drive data‑informed decision‑making. You will report into a Senior Manager on our Product Finance team in our Finance & Strategy organization.

Responsibilities

Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering and Product leadership, Corporate Finance, and teams across acquired companies to guide strategic workforce decisions.

Provide weekly insights to business partners on their budget surplus or deficit and the headcount movements driving week‑over‑week changes.

Build and evaluate headcount scenarios to help business partners understand the impact of different investment paths.

Analyze how resources are allocated across global R&D to inform and justify investment recommendations.

Lead headcount system integrations for acquired companies to ensure seamless alignment of data and processes.

Requirements

6+ years of strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment banking experience.

Experience managing forecasting & reporting for major departments within an organization.

Track and analyze key business/financial KPIs to identify trends and assess both current and future risks and opportunities.

Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working directly with senior executives.

Ability to influence cross‑functional partners at all levels.

Compensation The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future.

$134,000 – $197,000 USD (U.S. locations)

Paid Time Off Details

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked; paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
