and be at the forefront of innovation in the aerospace industry. In this hybrid role based in Sylmar, CA, you will collaborate with versatile teams to lead the development and commercialization of the latest aerospace coatings solutions. You will report to the Global Platform Director of Aerospace Materials and lead a team of product managers and materials engineers in different regions, shaping the future of PPG's aerospace coatings business on a global scale.
Salary Range: $160,000–$180,000 plus annual bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the global product portfolio for aerospace coatings, including product positioning, pricing, supply and lifecycle management to achieve sales growth and profitability goals.
Lead product de‑risking and complexity‑reduction efforts working with procurement, supply chain, operations, technical and quality teams.
Stay up to date with industry trends, customer needs, and competitor product activities. Use market and customer insights to help define global coatings product roadmap for the coming years. Collaborate with commercial, technical and operations teams to define and lead new product development projects within the aerospace coatings sector.
Work with external specification custodians to drive qualification of PPG aerospace coatings products at customers.
Develop comprehensive marketing plans and promotional strategies to support PPG's aerospace coatings products globally.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners, to support business growth.
Develop launch plan and go‑to‑market strategies for new aerospace coatings products, ensuring successful product launches and market reach.
Qualifications
Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.
5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, strategic marketing or product management with a focus on coatings.
Bachelor's Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business or a related field.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and interpret technical information.
Financial experience: understanding of pricing, margins, and profitability.
Available to travel 25% annually both domestically and internationally.
