Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Engineer who will be responsible for system testing Ultra Wide Band (UWB) and system for our next‑generation Snapdragon based mobile chipsets. The engineer will be working closely with the development and systems team to characterize, optimize system performance KPIs and various algorithms; understand various specifications, protocols and work toward best‑in‑class interoperability for our products.
Responsibilities:
Develop topologies and methods to characterize system performance for Ultra‑Wide Band (UWB) KPIs like positioning accuracy in an end‑to‑end use case.
Develop topologies to validate various UWB protocol transactions as required by different use cases such as Car Connectivity Consortium digital key, FiRa ranging, indoor positioning, and mass transit.
Work on new UWB technology advances & features such as Narrowband Assist Multi‑millisecond (NBA‑MMS) and Monostatic Radar.
Using Gen‑AI tools develop a software framework to automate all test cases and post‑processing of collected log sets and data.
Work with the Software and Systems team to optimize algorithms based on the characterization data.
Participate in various industry interoperability events to identify any interoperability issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
Python‑based test automation framework development.
System test experience in wireless communications and embedded devices.
System‑level debugging and issue isolation is required.
Good knowledge of Ultra‑Wide Band (UWB) technology.
Good knowledge of specifications such as Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) digital key and FiRa consortium specifications for different use cases.
Good knowledge of Android Java APK development.
Familiarity with test tools such as packet sniffers, protocol parsers, and RF testers.
