This position performs preparation, gross description and dissection of simple and complex human specimens for histological processing and subsequent diagnosis. Obtains biological specimens for additional testing/studies. Performs special procedures including Faxitron imaging and tumor triaging. Assists with frozen sections and operating room consults. Frontline person between Pathologists and Surgeons/Clinicians. This position also reviews medical chart with Pathologist. Performs postmortem examination and prosection. We deliver inspired people to do meaningful work. Job Requirements
This position requires that the applicant be PA (ASCP) BOR certified and/or a graduate of NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant training program and eligible to sit for the exam.
