Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
As Sr. Quality Engineer, you will be part of a team that owns Corrective Action Board mechanisms responsible for solving systematic root causes of satellite production defects. You will work closely with Engineering, TPM, Manufacturing and Quality teams and serve as a "bar raiser" for problem solving rigor using Lean Six Sigma tools.
Key Job Responsibilities
Manage Corrective Action Board (CAB) mechanism at Leo Program level
Work closely with Engineering, TPM and Operations teams on quality improvement projects
Raise the bar for Dive Deep work performed on Amazon Leo's most impactful and complex satellite production defects
Own key quality metrics
Foster a culture of quality, improvement and learning in Amazon Leo
A Day in the Life
This role is a Sr. Quality Engineer for Amazon Leo's satellite manufacturing and launch operations. This role must identify and solve problems within complex production operations while coaching teams and developing mechanisms to consistently deliver high-quality products.

Basic Qualifications
Experience in high‑volume manufacturing environments
Bachelor's degree
5+ years driving quality improvements in aerospace/automotive/medical production environments
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
5+ years leading Root Cause Analysis for hardware failures across multiple disciplines (PCBA, assembly, avionics, machining, test)
5+ years working under AS9100 or ISO9001 compliance, or similar
5+ years working with commercial space and/or aerospace hardware

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
