This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team at Blue Origin. This role will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics specific to Production/Operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance production timelines. Leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, you will contribute to improving manufacturing techniques, ensuring Blue Origin’s continued innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering.**Position Specific Details:*** Shifts: A | Mon-Fri (6am-2:30pm)* Location: Seattle, WA* Relocation: Available* Potential travel up to 10% of the time for training and other support activities.**Key Responsibilities:*** Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, and structures.* Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT), key to building reliable vehicles for space exploration.* Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.* Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.* Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.* Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).* Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; develop and implement corrective actions that enhance reliability and performance.* Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), supporting a safe and sustainable future in space.* Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.* Identify and complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction, optimizing our ability to achieve our mission at scale.* Gain expertise in at least one key specialty area (solar arrays, integration and test, build flow/sequencing, avionics, structures, etc.), with the desire to deepen expertise and broaden impact.**Team Focus & Domain Expertise:**The Lunar Operations Core Components Manufacturing Engineering team drives the successful development and production of critical lunar hardware. We translate complex design requirements into manufacturable processes by innovating tooling, equipment, and systems that transform raw materials into high-quality, mission-ready components built to withstand the lunar environment. Join us to play a vital role in shaping the future of space exploration.This role focuses on internally designed and fabricated tooling, fixtures and ground support equipment.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university* 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role* 3+ years of experience creating English work instructions* Must be able to work second shift and have flexibility to move shifts as needed. Open to work extended hours if required.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace or high-reliability industries.* Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.* Experience working with Bill-of-materials and BOM reconciliation* Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles* Familiarity with quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).* Master’s degree in a relevant field.* Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.* Proven experience in designing, building and commissioning tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly and/or testing processes.* Proven experience in analysis of tooling, structures, and/or mechanisms.* Working knowledge of structural mechanics principals including but not limited to load path distribution, strength of materials, and how to interpret finite element analysis (FEA).* Capacity to author detailed work instructions for the implementation, maintenance, operation, and corrective actions on GSE systems.* Strong understanding of fabrication processes (such as machining, welding, composites, and assembly).* Proven experience in designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting tooling, jigs, fixtures, molds, and automated tooling.* Proficiency with PLM/MRP systems (e.g. Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).* Prior involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) or transition to production in an aerospace environment.* Strong foundation in DFM/DFA and manufacturing process development.* Experience supporting requirements generation within the IPT, along with establishing and supporting Interface Control Models (ICMs).* Working knowledge of project management methodologies.* Strong verbal and written communication skills with teams, customers, and suppliers across geographic locations, with an emphasis on collaboration and customer satisfaction.* Experience with manufacturing automation, digital work instructions, or advanced metrology (e.g., CMM, laser scanning).* Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced production environment.* An attitude of world-class mission assurance, quality, attention to detail, and dedication.### Compensation Range for:WA applicants is $108,795.00-$152,311.95**Other site ranges may differ****Culture Statement****Export Control Regulations**Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.**Background Check*** Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check* Required for Certain Job Profiles:
