Position Overview Pathway Talent Partners has been exclusively engaged to identify a Vice President of Finance, a key strategic executive responsible for leading all financial, administrative, and operational support functions for the organization. This leader will oversee day‑to‑day financial management, enterprise‑wide financial planning, reporting, and compliance, while also guiding the company’s Technology and Project Management functions. The VP of Finance will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, driving fiscal strategy, operational excellence, and continuous organizational improvement.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Corporate Finance
Develop, recommend, and execute financial strategies, objectives, and policies that support corporate growth and stability.
Provide strategic, ethical financial counsel to executive leadership and serve as an active member of the senior leadership team.
Manage treasury activities including cash forecasting, liquidity oversight, credit needs, and bank relationships.
Present financial insights, scenario analysis, and business recommendations to the President and leadership team.
Financial Management, Reporting & Compliance
Lead preparation of periodic financial statements, forecasts, and executive‑level reporting on revenue, expenses, margins, and overall company performance.
Investigate and resolve material variances using advanced financial reporting tools.
Oversee annual tax filings in collaboration with external tax advisors.
Ensure completion of annual audits and compliance with reporting obligations to external partners.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
Direct the development of annual operating and capital budgets.
Review budget submissions and provide supporting analysis and justification.
Monitor, reconcile, and report on capital expenditures and depreciation.
Deliver timely performance reviews against budget and forecast expectations.
Technology, Systems & Process Optimization
Lead execution of the organization’s technology strategy.
Manage outsourced technology partnerships and ensure systems reliability and scalability.
Enhance automation, workflow efficiency, and reporting capabilities—leveraging tools such as PowerBI.
Oversee the Project Coordination team to ensure effective cross‑functional project delivery.
Business Administration
Ensure proper insurance coverage and risk mitigation across the business.
Provide oversight for office administration functions.
Review payroll activities in partnership with HR.
Oversee administration of the company’s 401(k) plan.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
Directly supervise Finance and Administration team members, including hiring, training, performance management, and professional development.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high‑performance culture.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, evaluating and optimizing corporate programs and processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
Proven ability to provide strategic, ethical financial leadership.
Deep knowledge of financial systems, methodologies, and organizational administration.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Effective leadership skills with the ability to hire, develop, and retain top talent.
Ability to prioritize and delegate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
Active CPA strongly preferred; MBA or CMA is an advantage.
