Overview Orthodontic Dental Assistan Summary: The Orthodontic Dental Assistant supports orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Colorado dental standards. Assists the doctor in procedures Takes x-rays Instructs patients on oral hygiene Sterilizes instruments Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred Required Certificates or Licenses: Colorado X-Ray certification Current BLS certification #J-18808-Ljbffr
