Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is seeking a high-impact Software Development Project Manager to lead business‑critical digital transformation initiatives across our enterprise. This role sits at the center of our application modernization strategy—driving delivery of low‑code Power Platform solutions, API‑based system integrations, legacy application modernization, and emerging Agentic AI projects. You will partner closely with business leaders, developers, architects, and vendors to translate business challenges into scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions that directly support the firm’s 3,000+ employees across North America and Australia. This is a highly visible opportunity to shape how modern digital solutions are delivered across a growing AEC organization. Responsibilities Lead end‑to‑end delivery of software development projects across:
Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) Legacy application modernization initiatives API‑based system integrations Emerging Agentic AI and automation solutions
Own project planning, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and delivery execution Serve as the primary liaison between IT development teams, enterprise architecture, vendors, and business stakeholders Drive Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, and release coordination Ensure projects adhere to enterprise security, architecture, compliance, and data governance standards Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and technical delivery plans Proactively manage cross‑functional dependencies, risks, and issue resolution Track and report project performance metrics, milestones, and financials to IT and executive leadership Support vendor management, including contract deliverables, performance tracking, and integration oversight Champion continuous improvement in software delivery processes and project execution maturity Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 4 years leading software development projects Demonstrated experience managing:
Low‑code development platforms (Power Platform preferred) System‑to‑system integrations using APIs Application modernization or legacy system replacement
Strong proficiency with Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery models Hands‑on experience with:
Project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent) Requirements gathering, backlog management, and release planning
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams and manage executive‑level stakeholders Strong financial acumen for budget tracking, forecasting, and cost controls Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast‑paced enterprise environment Skills and Experience PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or Scrum Master certification Direct experience with:
Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI Azure integration services and API management
Exposure to AI/ML, Copilot, RPA, and Agentic AI implementations Experience working in private equity–backed or high‑growth organizations Strong background in application portfolio rationalization and modernization roadmaps Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, and enterprise architecture governance models Move Forward with Kleinfelder:

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
