Position title:
Neurotology Surgeons
Salary range:
$300,000 – $350,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the appointment includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position Description The University of California, San Diego Department of Otolaryngology is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body, and seeks fellowship trained otolaryngologists with a focus in neurotology and skull base surgery.
The positions include responsibilities in clinical care, teaching, and research, with opportunities to contribute to advancing patient care and education in the field.
Appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
MD or equivalent degree.
Board certified or board eligible in Otolaryngology and Neurology.
Currently enrolled in, or have completed, a Neurotology fellowship.
Have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Preferred qualifications
Candidates with a demonstrated excellence in the clinical care of patients, a well‑developed area of scientific investigation, an excellent track record of publications, and training in all three approaches to the lateral skull base are preferred.
