The Manager Demand Planning is a first‑level manager responsible for leading the demand forecasting function to support a dynamic business with more than 10,000 active SKUs. This role oversees a team of two to three forecast analysts and ensures the development of accurate, data‑driven forecasts that guide production, inventory, and financial decisions. The manager will drive the day‑to‑day execution of the demand planning process, partner closely with cross‑functional teams, and implement strategies to improve forecast accuracy, reduce volatility, and enhance overall supply chain performance. This role also plays a critical part in supporting and advancing the company’s S&OP process.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
Lead the development and delivery of accurate statistical and consensus forecasts utilizing the SAP IBP planning system.
Manage, mentor, and provide direction to a team of two to four forecast analysts responsible for individual product categories.
Support the monthly S&OP process, presenting forecast insights, risks, and opportunities to the executive leadership team.
Partner with Business Units and Key Market Segments to integrate market intelligence, promotional plans, and customer insights into the forecast.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, supply planning, and operations to align demand plans with organizational objectives.
Identify, diagnose, and communicate forecast variances, working cross‑functionally to resolve root causes and improve reliability.
Drive continual process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing forecast accuracy, efficiency, and stability.
Monitor and refine forecasting models, parameter settings, and segmentation logic to support a 10,000‑SKU portfolio.
Develop and maintain standardized reporting, KPI dashboards, and analytical tools to support business decision‑making, while promoting automation and supporting system enhancements or implementations.
Provide guidance on demand assumptions for new product introductions, product lifecycle events, and strategic business shifts.
Serve as a liaison with senior leadership regarding demand risks, supply implications, and required course‑correctional actions.
Foster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and proactive communication within the demand planning team.
Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
6–8 years relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
1–3 years of management experience.
