The Engineering Manager oversees the daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring the resort's physical assets are maintained to the highest standards. This role supports all operating departments by managing building systems, equipment, and grounds, while leading a skilled team of technicians.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering Manager is responsible for implementing preventative maintenance programs, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Flexibility in scheduling—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—is required.

Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day engineering operations, ensuring timely response to guest and operational needs
Oversee and implement preventative maintenance programs for all plant and equipment
Manage departmental staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance development
Monitor and manage engineering budget and payroll in alignment with business needs
Ensure compliance with life safety and occupational health standards
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs
Support energy efficiency initiatives and report irregularities to the General Manager.
The salary range for this position $70,304 - $85,000 reflects the range we reasonably expect to pay.
Qualifications
Previous experience as an Engineering Manager in a luxury hospitality setting
Relevant technical degree or trade certification required
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call as needed
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for equipment repair and inspection
