Chief Accounting Officer

Seeking a Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to lead a growing global business. The CAO will oversee all global accounting, reporting, and internal controls; ensure accurate financial reporting and SOX compliance; and serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership on capital markets, transactions, and growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all accounting and control functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and compliance with SEC requirements
  • Maintain an effective enterprisewide system of internal controls and oversee SOX compliance
  • Develop and implement harmonized financial reporting systems, policies, procedures, and controls across the organization
  • Oversee external reporting, subsidiary accounting, tax compliance, and statutory filings
  • Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on accounting, reporting controls, and the financial implications of business initiatives or transactions
  • Participate in financial due diligence, integration activities, and qualityofearnings assessments tied to M&A activity
  • Support capital market filings and interactions with external auditors
  • Maintain and enhance ERP systems and financial technology infrastructure
  • Lead modernization efforts to improve efficiency and streamline financial processes
  • Oversee tax planning, reporting, and collaboration with operations on indirect tax matters
  • Build, develop, and mentor a highperforming accounting team

Education & Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership, including significant experience in a publiccompany environment
  • Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance
  • Active U.S. CPA required
  • Big 4 experience strongly preferred
  • Experience leading accounting operations at scale and modernizing systems/ERP solutions
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership, auditors, and Audit Committees
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and uphold high professional standards

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $300k$350k+ (depending on experience)
