Location: Bellevue, Washington
Job Type: Part‑Time (15‑20 h/week)

Your Role

Working closely with teachers to create a positive and supportive learning environment for elementary school students in math class. The role involves providing assistance in classroom activities, supporting students with feedback and extra practice, and communicating with parents to provide suggestions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing instructional materials.
  • Support classroom management by reinforcing positive behavior and addressing challenges.
  • Provide one‑on‑one or small group assistance to students needing additional help with assignments or concepts.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement engaging, age‑appropriate activities.
  • Assist in the implementation of lesson plans, ensuring educational objectives are met.
  • Maintain shared class materials in the OneDrive folder for parents.
  • Support assessment and record keeping; provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and school administrators; attend meetings and conferences as needed.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized classroom environment and assist with displays and bulletin boards.
  • Support online or in‑person educational activities such as mock exams, daily practice, open houses, and welcome students to class.
  • Promote Think Academy courses to parents and friends via social media.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with elementary school students is desired.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
  • Mandarin speaking is required.
