Application Support Engineer

Global Pharma Tek . Job Responsibilities: Providing software application support under the supervision of the IT Director. Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements. Creating and modifying internal reports using iVOS Reporter, Jasper AdHoc, and other Ventiv reporting tools. Consulting with software vendors, internal users, and stakeholders to improve application performance. Developing and maintaining test plans for application upgrades. Establishing root causes of application errors, working with vendors to identify fixes, and escalating serious issues to the IT Director. Keeping records of configuration changes and scheduling updates. Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics. Providing front-end support to management and colleagues across departments. Monitoring and resolving issues with external interfaces and processes. Understanding business workflows and requirements for all application users. Serving as subject matter expert on related projects. Managing and overseeing a support team, attending meetings with agencies, team members, and program managers. Providing subject matter assistance for all State and Federal reporting mandates. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years supporting software systems. Experience as an Application Support Engineer. Knowledge of Oracle PL-SQL and IBM Cognos is a plus. Experience with insurance claims and risk management systems is a plus. Willingness to learn support for EDI troubleshooting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Minimum Entry Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5 years of management experience, or an Associate's/Vocational/Technical degree with 7 years of management experience, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Ventiv Claims Enterprise (iVOS) or similar insurance claims systems. Experience with document capturing platforms like Kofax KTM. Experience maintaining transactional systems including payment processing. Experience with Oracle SQL Plus or similar SQL reporting tools. Experience developing reports with Jaspersoft or similar tools. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
