Job Description Overview:
The Carlile Group is seeking an immediate, full-time Architectural Studio Manager. The ideal candidate will work directly with our design and production team to ensure that professional services meet our clients’ project goals and our firm’s financial expectations.
Compensation is commensurate with education and experience, approximately $100,000-$125,000 annually. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, 401K with employer contribution, performance bonus, and paid vacation/personal time.
Responsibilities include: Studio Operations & Staffing
Oversee team assignments, monitor staffing gaps, and maintain resource utilization reports.
Project Budget & Performance
Analyze project budgets, lead bi-monthly WIP meetings, and align project scope and fees with client expectations and firm goals.
Project Oversight
Track deadlines, coordinate schedules, maintain quality assurance, and support contract compliance.
Mentorship & Staff Development
Mentor project architects and managers, develop training materials, and assist in recruiting.
Financial Oversight
Review staffing costs, conduct market research, and monitor billing and profitability.
Technical Support
Provide technical oversight and assistance with architectural drawings and specifications.
Qualifications: NCARB certified and licensed architect in Illinois with at least 3 years of project management experience, including client relations, team leadership, and project budgeting. Excellent communication skills and a self-driven attitude are essential.
