Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. Experience building large-scale full stack web applications. Preferred qualifications: Experience programming in Java. Experience in front end web development using Angular. Experience with technologies such as Borg, Boq, or Spanner. Experience in system design, system architecture, distributed systems, software engineering, and full-stack development. Experience in developing and maintaining backend systems. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. As a Software Engineer (SWE) within the Research Hub team, you will contribute to developing Research Hub tools and features. You will drive design, and development of features within a Product Area (PA)-wide system to enable better discovery, planning, and management (tracking, approvals, etc) the wide-ranging suite of Research projects. You will have an unparalleled view of the scope of new advancements being made in Research, and will have direct, material impact across Research PA and more. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Develop and launch effective user experiences on Research Hub and related tools and surfaces. Work with Engineering, Product Management, UX, organizational stakeholders to evaluate requirements and develop product solutions.
